This PT-22 underwent a metamorphosis when it was repainted as a warbird. Here it still wears the civilian paint scheme applied by and the name of Dick Ward, from Three Rivers, Michigan. The 1943 Recruit had just been brought to Germany by Norbert Lindner from Hamburg.

There are three of the type reported to be ex-E.3B-415. This is a different aircraft to G-BRRT which became PT-ZGL in 1997. EC-GRB is a third aircraft. The Spanish registry seems to have ended with a crash at Casarrubios (LEMT) in December 2003. D-EGBM was cancelled in 2018. It was registered in 1987 and also thought to be c/n 2062 but that was E.3B-464, EC-DMJ, D-EINA, HB-UVU.
