Four Mi-2s were acquired by Mexico in 2001 and operated from Santa Lucia with EA303. The type proved unsuitable and was withdrawn in 2003. After use for ground instruction all four were disposed of and by 2017 went for use as attractions at the Zombie Adventure Park at Totolopan.

Ten F-5E and two F-5F were delivered in 1982 and the type remains in service in 2024.

Ex HK-3635 impounded by the Mexican authorities in 1991 and impressed into service, initially as TE-003 and 3907 by early 2001. Withdrawn and used as a ground trainer by the Escuadron de Vigilancia Aérea to prepare crews of the FAM's newly ordered Embraer 145 surveillance platform. The aircraft is now in the Museo Militar de Aviación at Santa Lucia.

Built at Kyiv-Svyatoshino in 1992. Ex UR48006, delivered to Mexico in August 2000. Crashed taking off for a flight from General Escobedo International Airport, Monterey to Santa Lucia in November 2010.
