In 1990, the Mig-21s from the former East German Air Force were moved around the airport, however did not fly any more. "2418" was "838" before reunification; after 1995 it got this reg again and was displayed in the museum at Rothenburg, last noted there in 2022.

11+10 was re-registered from DDR-SDR and saw limited military service between 1990 and 1993. Thereafter, it was sold back to Russia and flew for Aeroflot; in 2009, it was broken up.

Together with two sister ships, 11-22 had just been transferred from Interflug to Luftwaffe / German Government a few days before I took this slide. However, all three IL-62M's saw limited governmental service only, and after a period of storage at Ingolstadt they were sold via Uzbekistan to Alim Air of Egypt. This one here flew as SU-ZDA and was seen at Cairo in derelict conditions a few years later.
