There were 10 former Texas International Convair 600's stored at Ryan Field near Tucson during our trip in '78. in this picture are nine of them.

There were 10 former Texas International CV-600's stored at Ryan Field near Tucson. Delivered to American Airlines on 27 Oct 1948 as a Convair 240 registered N94249. To Trans Texas Airlines on 20 May 1961. Converted to a CV-600 in 1966. Noted as Texas International on 31 Oct 1968. WFU and stored at Ryan Field AZ. Bought by SMB Stage Line on 19 Jan 1978. To Wright Airlines on 30 Jan 1981. Returned to SMB Stage Line in Feb 1989. To Kitty Hawk Airways 29 Oct 1991. WFU at Sherman-Grayson TX in Apr 1995 and broken up.

There were 10 former Texas International CV-600's stored at Ryan Field near Tucson. N94215 is the aircraft at the back with N94249 nearer the camera. Delivered to American Airlines on 30 Nov 1948 as a Convair 240 registered N94215. To Trans Texas Airlines on 25 Aug 1964. Converted to a CV-600 in Jun 1966. Noted as Texas International on 31 Oct 1968. WFU and stored at Ryan Field AZ. Bought by SMB Stage Line 19 Jan 1978. WFU and stored at Tucson and broken up in Aug 1993.

DHC-3 Otter N5348G was delivered to the USN as 144674 in October 1956 and flown by VX-6 in Antarctica until retired in Sep 1996. Transferred to the Army National Guard as 0-4674.Retired in Sep 1977. To Civil Air Patrol as N5348G but never entered service. Sold to Red "S" Aircraft sales in Nov. 1978. It arrived in Renton, WA in the Spring of 1978. Modified by Clayton Scott's Jobmaster Inc. which added vertical fins to the top of the horizontal stabilizer to improve performance on floats. VH-KMA was sold in Vanuatu in February 2016.

VH-FPF was registered in October 1978.

VH-DEG was written off during an attempted wheels-up landing at night at Carnarvon, Western Australia on August 18, 1989. It came down short of the runway and struck a levee bank.
