The company I worked for had a booth at the Paris Air Show and organized a charter flight so anyone who stumped up the fare could go. The Britannia flight from Luton was very enjoyable but the weather was a total bust as can be seen. I amused myself spotting from the terminal and around the hangars then had a quick whip around the exhibits. I saw this Jetstar again as C-GAZU many years later in Canada.

Arriving after a long haul from Peru is this APSA DC-8. Delivered new to Iberia in 1961, it later saw service with Nordair in 1979 as C-GNDF and was scrapped at Miami in 1993. Aircraft in the background are (L) an IL-14 of CSA and (R) the Britannia Airways flight that brought me from Luton.

A trio of DC-8s belonging to UTA, including the all cargo F-BNLD at rear left. Delivered in 1960, this early turbojet powered model became EC-CCN in 1973 and was scrapped at Palma in 1984. I once flew on an Air Canada DC-8 of similar vintage and it had no overhead bins and not even a hat rack. The passenger service panels were mounted in the seat-back facing you and hats or coats were hung in the cloak closet by the cabin attendant.
