Delivered new in 1958 and on 5 November 1970 it was wrecked when the nose-wheel collapsed landing at Corfu (LGKR). We only got to see the Olympic Comets on scheduled services, so this was a nice treat thanks to a charter flight carrying Scouts home from the 11th World Jamboree at Marathon, Greece.

Delivered to Finnair in August 1957, serving them until sale in December 1972. It wears the original "Aero OY" title in the fin band. Also visible are Vickers Vanguard 951 G-APEB of BEA, British Eagle Britannia and a Douglas DC-8-43 of Alitalia.

"Isle of Kreta" served Olympic from December 1958 until badly damaged in a heavy landing at Corfu in November 1970 and was broken up. The Heathrow marshaller is waving his batons frantically to help park the 6B.
