Date probable. Vertol 42Bs F-BFDB and F-BFAX were VIP helicopters 'refused by Washington' and sold to France. At the 1957 Salon they provided an air link between Issy heliport and Le Bourget, operated by Helicop-Air. They then went to the French army as regular H-21Cs and both served in Algeria by 1958. Ex RAF VS323, G-AOOO stands in a group of some of the 250+ Prentices bought in 1956 by Freddie Laker's Aviation Traders. Only twenty-odd were civilianised and the rest scrapped at Stansted (and some at Southend). G-AOOY and G-AONF are also visible.
