US Navy aircraft transferred to the army as a chase place for the Cheyenne but ended up being used for airspeed calibration testing and other work.

First F-111.

The early morning sun is wonderfully illuminating this amazingly clean F-106. It is one of the few which survived its use as a drone (see my pic in April 97). It arrived at AMARC on 23 Feb 98 and was the only B Model of the six "Red Tails". It flew at both Holloman and Tyndall. 59-0158 is a former Langley bird with the 48th FIS. It also served as a trainer for the Mercury astronauts. Since 25 Feb 03 it is displayed at the AFFTC Museum, Edwards AFB CA.

F-111A Aardvark 63-9766 stands outside of the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB. This was the prototype for the F-111.

A YF-4E stands outside the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB in California. The YF-4E was used in the development of the F-4E fighter.

A very unique Warthog, the YA-10B. This is the only two-seat version of the A-10 ever built. The YA-10B is now kept at the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB.

This is the second A-7 prototype built. It now rests at the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB in California. It carries the 6512 TS code ED, the Air Force Flight Test Centre badge on the nose, and the Air Force Systems Command badge on the fin.

This is the first ever built A-10 and is also the only two seater A-10 ever built. Owned by the Air Force Flight Test Center Museum it was displayed in a hangar, which was kept very clean!
