One of 34 supplied to Germany for the Air Force and Navy, previously serialled XA+104 and served the FVSt at Lechfeld and later Neubiberg in the telecoms/check role

The steps up to the Il-18 provide an ideal vantage point to photograph this star of the Flugausstellung L.+P Junior collection, but to get the registration in, I found myself sitting on the Ilyushin's roof. A grand view indeed!

It looks good but is actually a Belgian Mirage.

Elbeflug obtained some 13 surplus Noratlas transports in 1970 after the WGAF fleet was withdrawn, with the intention of carrying goods and fresh produce into remote airstrips. But after massive corporate fraud was uncovered, they never went into service. This survivor was formerly 52+56. Difficult to photograph on the sunny side due to proximity of thick boundary vegetation
