The second DC-10, used by the manufacturer in the test flying and type certification programme before refurbishment and delivery to Laker.

The second DC-10 to be built back in 1971 performed a valuable role flying worldwide as an eye hospital and was parked at Stansted for several weeks in summer 2009. Replaced by MD-10 N330AU and preserved at the Pima museum as of Nov 2016

DC-10 number two served Cal Air from 2.86 till 4.90 before going to Orbis. Ex N183AT (reg also used by ATA on a TriStar) and G-BELO

The second DC-10 to be built, first flying in 1.71 as N101AA and later N10DC - both registrations also used by the prototype. To Laker as G-BELO 6.77, ATA in 2.83 and Cal Air as G-GCAL in 2.86. Underwent conversion to hospital ship in 1991 and became well-known as the Project Orbis aircraft N220AU, now retired to the Pima collection
