In May 1976 the Sudan Government ordered, (I believe), 20 Thrush Commanders for Crop Culture (Sudan). In the event, 15 were supplied. They were shipped to Rotterdam docks, assembled at Rotterdam Airport & flown to Southend for attention by ADS (Aerial). The first 4, N4879X-'82X, were flown to Southend in US marks on 30 June & 1 July 1976. N4883X set out on 4 July, returned due overheating & finally delivered on 12 Sept. The final 10, ST-AGB-'K, were given Sudan marks at Rotterdam & flown to Southend on 11 & 12 July. They then flew to Sudan. N4880X became ST-AFX.
