Originally N17325 with Continental and then PP-VLN with Varig, whose cheatline is still evident in this view, being prepared after service with Buffalo Airways for Uganda Airlines to be 5X-UCM. In 1991 it was bound for Vienna as YA-GAF with the dubious company Balkh Airlines when forced by the Yugoslav AF to land in Zagreb, carrying 25t of smuggled weapons. It was impressed into service as 73601 and used to carry refugees from Sarajevo. Stored at Ostend as YA-GAF from 1997 and broken up mid-2004 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
