Formerly VH-ANW, a C-47A converted post-World War II by Australian National Airways to its specifications - Wright R-1820 engines and a passenger door. Cancelled from the register in 1972. The McDonald's franchise owner installed it as his Midland restaurant in 1987 as a novelty dining room. After McDonald's Australia acquired the restaurant, the aircraft became a storeroom and soon attracted vandals. The DC-3 was removed about 2000 and at the time of upload was on a private property near Busselton. This photo was added on 21 November 2025, and has since been viewed 81 times. |
