Making a fast pass through cloudy skies above Reading at Mid Atlantic Air Museum's 34th Annual WW II Weekend Airshow. This Mustang was built at Inglewood, CA in April 1945 and taken on charge by the USAAF with s/n 44-73843. It was stationed at Florida and spent time in storage before it was taken on charge by the RCAF as a Mustang TF.IV. It was struck off charge on 4 Dec 1956, then sold into private hands. This Mustang launched the Commemorative Air Force. "Red Nose" is painted in the markings of 8.5-victory ace Capt. David W.Howe of the 334th FS, 4th FG based at RAF Debden.
