VH-BPF was transferred to TEAL as ZK-BGA following the demise of BCPA, which had been owned the Australian, British and New Zealand governments. Qantas took over its route to the US and the three DC-6s were transferred to the then joint New Zealand and Australian airline TEAL as its first landplanes.
