This is P-51D 44-72035, which in 2016 was unveiled after restoration in historically accurate markings as carried in 1945 when it entered service with the famous Afro-American Tuskagee Airmen of the 99th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group in Italy on escort and ground attack sweeps over Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. Remaining in USAF service till 1956 (including use by the NV ANG as a target tug 1949/50), it was civilianised as N5411V before being sold in Colombia as HK-2812P in 1982. In 1988 it became F-AZMU, flying as "Jumping Jacques". Sold to Peter Teichman as G-SIJJ in 2003 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
