BOAC's tenth 747 was delivered March 21, 1972, just before the merger with British European Airways, Cambrian Airways and Northeast Airlines. The airline adopted the name of British Airways officially in April 1974, initially resulting in this hybrid color scheme. G-AWNJ was withdrawn and stored at Roswell, NM in December 1998.
