This early Convair 240 flew with American Airlines from December 1948 - October 1959 as N94204.. Initially christened "Flagship Detroit", the aircraft was later named " Mohawk, Chapultepec Castle and West Point". Pictured with R L Polk & Co (a data aggregator for he automotive industry, insurance companies, and related businesses) 1967 - 72, the aircraft was sold to American Velodur Metal as N7040 in 1972. Re-registered N10AV in 1973, it was written off after losing power over a populated area of Hyannis, MA and attempting a forced landing on a beach on April 9. 1977.
