Photographer not known. This is an undated Kodachrome slide taken at London Airport circa late 1950s/early 1960s. The two nearest BEA Viscounts are G-AOYJ (left) and G-AOHM (on the right), both of which went on to fly until the 1990s, latterly with British Air Ferries. EI-AKK was damaged beyond repair in a non-fatal landing accident at Bristol-Lulsgate on 21 September 1967. This photo was added on 1 September 2022, and has since been viewed 490 times. |
