The Boorabee has the rear fuselage and empennage of a Drifter with new wings and forward fuselage. 'Bobbybee' is actually the prototype Mk II and was registered with the RAAus on 18 August 1998. It has a Rotax 582 engine which gives a cruise of 65-70 kt, burning 18 lph. Its owner flew it the 400-or-so miles from its base at Lethbridge, near Geelong, for the Antique Aeroplane Association's Auster Rally.
