Prototype of the XH-12B / Bell 48A, an enlarged variant of the XH-12 / 48, supposedly able to lift ten people. Not flown until 21 November 1949 according to Johan Visschedijk. Written off in a forced landing near Niagara Falls three months later. Ten YR-12Bs built but no series production. Despite the type's serious issues, one YH-12B was shipped to Italy years later to form the basis of the Agusta AB.102.
