On display at AAM Duxford. Serving in Vietnam from 1964-71, F-100s were not found suitable over heavily defended N. Vietnam and were assigned to the fighter-bomber role in-country. They flew more missions than the P-51 in World War II. The F-100D was the most widely built model, with over 1200 being produced. Heavily modified in service, the 'Hun' suffered many accidents throught its career. Tailcode 'VM' belongs to 352 TFS 'Yellow Jackets' at Phan Rang AB.
