One of the 13 aircraft assembled on the eastern boundary at Southend for the nascent British Historic Aircraft Museum. Formerly a research testbed with Cranfield University and Napier as G-36-3, G-29-1 and G-APRJ. Arrived from Cranfield on 9th May 1967. Sadly, this museum came to nought but was resurrected as the Historic Aircraft Museum (Southend) in 1972 with RF342 passing into its care. Of note is the Lancaster nose (from the pilot's windscreen forward) ex-TW911, fitted in the late 40s/early 50s.
