Willy Messerschmitt designed the four-seat BFW M 18 at the request of Theodor Croneiss and his North Bavarian Airlines (NOBA) acquired a fleet of 19 examples. D-1347, D-1405 Gera and D-1365 were likely pictured at NOBA's base, the former Fürth / Nuremberg - Atzenhof airport. Rob Mulder's European Airlines website has a comprehensive article about this interesting company.
