Crashed in landing at Schofields airport, Sydney, during crew training on June 3, 1947. The following month another DC-3 was registered VH-AOH (c/n 12790) and named RMA Warrumbungle. That aircraft had been converted to a 24-seater with an airstair passenger door and eight windows on each side of the cabin, one for each row of passengers. Behind -AOH in the photo are CAC Wackett trainers intended for civil conversion. This photo was added on 5 March 2019, and has since been viewed 449 times. |
