This SH-3A was later converted into a SH-3G and finally into a UH-3H. Written off on 18 August 1983.

Built new in 1954 for the USCG with CG s/n 1307. After retiring from the CG, it was registered as N1028. Exported to Canada and registered C-GGRK, which was eventually cancelled on 8 September 1987. This a/c was not technically on display at the airshow, but was parked just behind the aircraft that were on display.

This is SNJ-5B USN Bureau Number 90800. It wasn't on display at the airshow, but was close enough to walk over and photograph.

1969 was the first year the Blue Angels performed with the F-4J. BuNo. 153076 managed to make it through all 5 of the Phantom II years, 1969-1973. It had various team assignments: #3 in 1969, #6 in 1970, #3 in 1971, #7 in 1972, and #6 in 1973. #7 is the team's Narrator a/c and also is the spare a/c in case one of the six show a/c have a mechanical issue. In the background is the Blue Angel's C-121J support aircraft. It was in use from 1968 through the end of 1970 when it was replaced by a C-130.

1969 was the first year the Blue Angels performed with the F-4J. This a/c was had an inflight fire during a practice airshow on 4 June 1971 at NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island. The pilot had a successful ejection and was uninjured.

1969 was the first year the Blue Angels performed with the F-4J. This a/c was destroyed in a mid air collision with Blue Angel F-4J Bureau Number 153702 during a practice airshow at NAS Lakehurst, New Jersey on 26 July 1973.

The Blue Angels operated this C-121J from 1968 through the end of the 1970 season when it was replaced by a C-130. At some point after I took this slide the paint scheme was changed with the top of the fuselage being painted white. Looks like the yellow paint is peeling off of the number 8 on the vertical fin and rudder.

Bill Fornof's F8F-2P in front of the Fornof hangar at Houma, LA. Mr. Fornof owned the Cadillac auto dealership in Houma, and he used Cadillac Bronze auto paint on his Bearcat. A former Naval Aviator and fighter pilot, his airshow display was second to none. I was fortunate to have seen him perform several times at airshows in and around the Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana area. N7700C was originally built for the US Navy as F8F-2P Bureau Number 121608.

Originally built in 1945 with US Navy Bureau Number 86746. This a/c has an active FAA registration and is located at the Frasca Air Museum in Illinois.

This 207 was conducting "Penny a Pound" flights during the airshow.
