Slide taken during the Carrier Air Wing Reserve 30 annual two week active duty period. Note the screen over the air intake. This was in place whenever there was maintenance which involved running the engine. Very shortly after returning to NAS Alameda this a/c was flown to storage at MASDC. Later converted to an A-7P and transferred to the Portuguese Air Force as 5525. Crashed in Germany on 22 September 1992 after engine failure. The pilot successfully ejected.
