From the days when tobacco advertising was allowed, two balloons sponsored by Lambert and Butler were seen at Wollaton park, G-BGVR on the left and G-BGVP on the right. VP was permanently withdrawn in 1990 and VR in 1992
Built in 1978 this balloon had its Certificate of Airworthiness cancelled in 1992. It was present at the British Balloon Museum and Library Inflation day at Pidley, Cambridgeshire. Like so many of these old balloons the advertising has been removed but Motorway Tyres is just discernable
Seen at Lakeside Lodge, Pidley, Cambridgeshire at the British Balloon Museum and Library inflation day. Built in 1978, the certificate of airworthiness expired in 2005 when the envelope had flown for 355 hours. This example was once operated by Schroeder Life, an Insurance Company.
