Sources quote that this was the last Thunderflash that made a flight in Italy before being withdrawn from use. It then remained stored and not used in Bresso for several years before being delivered by Piaggio to GAVS Turin, for a restoration project still ongoing. GAVS (Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici) is an Italian association founded in 1983 having the purpose to save aviation memories and aircrafts.
