The bizarre Blériot 125 airliner. The twin fuselages could accommodate six passengers each, while the three crew rode in the central nacelle which also housed two Hispano-Suiza 12Hbr engines in tandem. Blériot chief pilot Charles Quatremare made the first flight on 9 March 1931, but flying characteristics were very poor. Work on the craft continued into 1933, but to no avail. Registration F-ALZD allocated but perhaps never worn. Note the 'Hôtel Blériot' at Buc.

The scoreboard says 'Classement des appereils' (Classification of the planes). Data for the bottom right aircraft. Immediately to the left of that, event number 17 is a Morane-Saulnier AI/MoS 30, probably F-ABAO. F-CMAW and F-CMAY, bottom left, are Blériot-SPAD S.27 aircraft, and F-FRAA is a Potez VII. Both types were two-passenger airliners derived from warplanes, like the Breguet 14T to the right of this cropped image, F-CMAF. The F-CMA* registrations block was issued to the Compagnie des Messageries Aériennes, F-FRA* to the Compagnie Franco-Roumaine de Navigation Aérienne. French President Millerand watched this event from the balcony on the left side of the so-called Hôtel Blériot. The Nieuport 80 and 81 were trainer variants of the two-seat Nieport 12 scout. Some examples did not have dual controls. Photo from: Bibliothèque nationale de France - Gallica

Note the large tailplane, actually a second wing. The tandem-wing Taupin was built in some numbers by the Société Française de Construction Aéronautique (SFCA). The company was based here at Buc, a historic airfield adjacent to Toussus-le-Noble (LFPN). Louis Blériot established his ambitious Aeropark here in 1909. The grand building was the student pilots' hotel, known as the Hôtel Blériot and in use at this time with the Groupe Aérien du Touring Club de France.
