The National Search and Rescue Service of Indonesia used a dozen or so Nurtanio-Bölkows over the years. As of 2025, five are still active. This one is preserved though, and sits in the transport museum since 2009.

Converted from a NSA330J it was withdrawn from use by SkU8 at nearby Atang Senjaya and given to the technical school as instructional airframe in June 2024.

This Nurtanio-built NBo105CB is a bit of an imposter. It was once registered as HH-1503 with the Indonesian air force and slated to become PK-DKJ, instead it went to the Indonesian Navy as spares source. In that capacity, it lingered at Juanda for years, marked PK-DKJ. Now, it has been revived as monument for the newly established museum at Surabaya's naval harbour. It received grey colours and serial "HE-4116" in the process, a serial never used in real service.

This cabin section is PK-PGU, which for some reason has the door mounted of PK-PGZ. In this photo the lower part of "GU" can just be seen on the nose below the windscreen, and it also has PK-PGU on a panel inside the cockpit. This cabin still carries Pelita Air Service titles and logo on the other side.

Deceivingly, this is PK-PGU with the door of PK-PGZ.

Indonesia's IPTN-Nurtanio aircraft facility in Bandung is mainly known for co-producing fixed-wing aircraft with Spain's CASA, such as the C212 Aviocar, the CN235 and the C295. However, it also built under licence different MBB, Bell and Aérospatiale helicopters for the local civilian and military market. Some 26 Super Pumas, of which at least 12 went to the Indonesian AF, were built locally since the mid 1980's. The one pictured here is assigned to VIP Sqn 45 based at Halim, and has since been repainted in an attractive white/red paint scheme (representing the national colors of Indonesia).
