An early Go 242 glider in Greece in September 1941 - the first deliveries were only in August. This was after the airborne invasion of Crete and the 1500 Go 242s built were mostly used for resupply flights, which seems terribly inefficient. Photo by: Edward-Josef Petertil / ECPAD

Reportedly one of several basic fuselage frames of this otherwise extinct WW2 transport glider to have been recovered from a former East German airbase. It is not clear whether this will be used as the basis for a more complete restoration.
