YAJASI (Yayasan Jasa Aviasi Indonesia) was founded in April 1993 as subsidiary of JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Services) headquarted in Waxhaw, North Carolina. The humanitarian flying service specialises in operating STOL aircraft to remote airstrips, and till about 2011 had a few Helio Couriers in it's inventory. PK-JAA shown here is a 1972 built airframe which joined YAJASI in April 1996. Damaged during a thunderstorm on November 2, 2005, then sent back to JAARS for repair where it became N461FM in early 2012. Still flying as N461FM with JAARS at the time of upload.

Another general aviation operator that is based in Jayapura. YAJASI Aviation operates mostly Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter in their fleet to serve flights into remote airstrips in Papua. It is said that their Pilatus PC-6 is the most luxurious one in Papua, with all them have been equipped with full auto-pilot and seats covered with sheep wool!

ex HB-FQO, then briefly VH-ZKM but always with Yajasi since being built in 2007. Only two PC-12 are used by christian Mission Aviation Services, one of them being PK-UCG based in Sentani-Jayapura, Papua. The other PC-12 (c/n 243 and registered 5Y-MAF) is operated by Mission Aviation Fellowship and based in Nairobi-Wilson, Kenya.

Built in 2008, this Pilatus Porter carried registration HB-FNG before being delivered to Yeti Airlines in Nepal as 9N-AIU in May of 2009. Already in September that year, it went on to Tara Air (still in Nepal with same reg). Yajasi Indonesia then bought it in July 2012 to replace the ill-fated PK-UCE and operated it in the original Yeti Airlines colors as can be seen in this 2014 picture. Has since been repainted to Yajasi's blue / white color scheme.

Built in 2004, this PC-6 was the first for YAJASI in an effort to modernize its fleet of piston powered aircraft. Unfortunately, this a/c was lost in an accident on September 22, 2011, killing all 3 persons on board.
