Delivered to the East German Air Force in October 1962 as 493. To Interflug in September 1964 as DM-STD. Reregistered DDR-STD in July 1981. Cancelled in November 1988. Trucked to Teuge in April 2009 for usage as a luxury hotel.

Preserved as a luxury hotel suite for two at Teuge Airport. It's unusual to see that after painting the owner has re-applied the registration DDR-STD.

This Il-18 was originally delivered in the early sixties to the East German AF as '493' but was soon passed on to Interflug, with which it served until wfu in October 1986. Fortunately it has been saved from the axeman and has now been converted into a hotel at Teuge airport.
