From 1976 this Fishbed-L flew as '990' with the NVA in JG-8and was one of the 46 aicraft of this type fitted with an automatic landing system (SAU). After unification she was allocated the GAF serial 24+53 but retired immediately from service and is now one of many superb exhibits at the Luftwaffenmuseum.
