Built during WWII as an SNB-2 Navigator BuNo 67161, remanufactured by Beech as SNB-5 c.1953 and redesignated UC-45J in 1962. To civil registry as N57161 in 1970 and used as a ground instructional airframe. Struck-off USCAR in April 1992 and acquired by the USAF Museum, loaned to Edwards AFB and placed on display there by June 1993 wearing the fictional marks "USAF 408823/823".
