Zerstörerstaffel (Z)./KG 30 (Fliegerkorps X) lost this Junker Ju88C-2 during an escort mission for KG26 to Narvik after an engine failure. Werknummer 0880133 did not make it back to Trondheim-Vaernes and had to make a forced landing on mountain Storfjellet in Bindal on 10 May 1940, when Germany had just invaded Norway. All three crew became POWs and were sent to England. The complete wreck (including wings and tail, but minus the cockpit) is at Tolga, after it had spent years at the Flysamling in Gardermoen. It will not be restored but kept as is.
