VH-BKA had been ferried into Evans Head from Bankstown airport for storage in the former RAAF hangars on the aerodrome. Its previous flight had been in 1948 when it was ferried to Bankstown from Geelong. Struck off register in 1951 as unairworthy. Continuing non-payment of hangarage fees at Bankstown and Evans Head saw BKA evicted from its hangar in 1956. It very quickly succumbed to the elements . Dave Eyre photo
