Carries the crest of Alaska's Department of Public Safety. Joined the US Navy in 1943 as a JRF-5, 37775. Transferred to the US Coast Guard in 1944. Around 1957 became N725 of the US Department of the Interior, Anchorage. Transferred to the State of Alaska Fish & Game Dept at Juneau in 1963, returning to Anchorage as N7251 in 1972. Crashed near Haines, AK on 11 October 1994 while on a survey flight, with the sad loss of both on board. Wreck recovered. Parts used by the Tongass Historical Society of Ketchikan, AK to rebuild N88851.
