So as I understand it from the SoCal CAF, this is N40FS, an original Fi-156D and not a French MS version as is often stated, although unfortunately the complete history of the plane is unknown. It is the D stretcher-medivac variant with the large triangular side window to allow the transporattion of two stretchers with wounded personel and is undergoing restoration to flying condition.
