WSK-Mielec Fresco-C taxiing by at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024 for its display. This aircraft was built in 1957 and is one of 477 produced in Poland between 1956-60. The original radio antenna mast by the starboard rear canopy frame is no longer fitted. The three wing fences, Syrena-2 button antenna, RV-2 Kristal radar altimeter antenna by the wheel well, ESKR-46 flare dispenser on the front starboard fin and extended airbrake are visible. The rudder can be deflected 25° to either side of the tail with a 4.26 m² surface area, slightly larger than that of the MiG-15.

Licensed built Mig-17 with the Polish Air Force 1958 - 1990, this jet was brought to the USA in 1996 by vintage aircraft restoration company Aerocrafters. It was in storage for five years before the present owner bought aircraft and had Aerocrafters return it to flight status registered N717MG.

This Fresco appears to be having a problem with the landing gear, as they are extended during a full afterburner pass.
