Amiot was a French aircraft manufacturer, which became became a subcontractor for the Junkers company, building 370 aircraft. Licence production of the Junkers Ju 52 trimotor continued after the war under the designation Amiot AAC.1 Toucan. Over 400 units were built for the French military and for airline use in France and its overseas territories. One of these, with serial 363, is seen here in the Deutsches Museum in Munich.

This aircraft was delivered to the French Air Force in 1947. It was flown to Munich-Riem Airport for the Deutsches Museum in 1957. It has recently been refurbished and returned to display following a number of years' absence.
