Ed Peterson built his own Bleriot monoplane. The aircraft was not able to fly on the day this photo was taken. Peterson persisted and in 1911 he flew it at Mission Island at the mouth of the Kam River. But the aircraft was underpowered and the flight reached only 50 feet and covered only half a kilometre.
