Reportedly converted to SC-47A in 1956 and, in the absence of a service record card, we may assume it was based in Iceland or Greenland on SAR duties judging by the combustion heater exhaust stain on the fuselage. When seen here it was assigned to the 7531st Ammunition Squadron at Welford, Berkshire and used for shipping ordinance to USAF bases in the UK. Last known stored at Davies Monthan in September 1967.
