Italian P-26 Peashooter lookalike! The original Ba.27 was actually inspired by a Travel Air Model R racing aircraft purchased by Italy. This is the second Ba 27 prototype, completely redesigned and of metal construction. The Italian air force showed little interest and test pilot Ambrogio Colombo took the monoplane fighter to Norway for demonstrations in September 1934 (not in 1939 as indicated by the Norwegian national library).
