Built in 1942 as NC36406, becoming N36406 in 1949. As far as is known, this aircraft never served with the USAAF although it has the glazed rear canopy of the DCO-65/L-2A instead of the rear turtledeck fairing. It probably was built as a DC-65 with the turtledeck and later reconfigured as a DCO-65.
