This proud aircraft burned to the ground a few months later after a careless groomer left a smoldering cigarette in the cabin.

At the moment this plane is stored and EP-MNE is flying domestically for Mahan Air.

This aircraft was destroyed by a cabin fire whilst on the ground at CDG airport on March 16th 1985.

Delivered new to UTA - Union de Transports Aériens in April 1986. Over to Aeromaritime in October 1988. After merger with Air France in October '91 in Air France c/s. In November 2007 to Mahan Air (EP-MNE) and still active as such.

Mahan Air B747 Classic, EP-MND, is the last passenger Classic still in commercial use today, in 2019. This picture was taken in Dubai in 2009, when Mahan had just managed to purchase this ex Air France Classic. The airframe was originally delivered in January 1986 as F-GETA to UTA, that later became Air France.

F-GDUA was damaged beyond repair at Paris-Charles de Gaulle on March 16, 1985 when a fire broke out during cleaning.
