Originally delivered to the Cuban Air Force as a piston Beaver and later converted to turbo-power with a Garrett engine instead of the PT6 used in other versions. This one, owned by the US Dept of Interior in Alaska, seems to be the only example. No wonder! Even though it out-performs the PT6 version, who would want such an ugly aircraft?

Thankfully there is only one of these "Ugly Ducklings" and it is now retired after serving with the US Department of the Interior. Later to the Alaska Aviation Museum, and after that placed on display inside the Anchorage teminal hall.

Fortunately this is the only example of what is the ugliest Beaver ever to see the light of day. This victim of gross design ugliness worked for the US Department of the Interior in Alaska until it was retired and donated to the Alaska Air Museum in Anchorage. Later it found itself on display inside the terminal.

Officially registered as a Beaver Mk.3, but that's not correct. This is a regular Beaver (ex U-6A 56-0423), which was converted into a turbine Beaver by Volpar in the late 1990s. It differs in several ways from a true Mk.3 turbine Beaver, which are factory-built by De Havilland Canada.
