I believe this is the only survivor of seven YG-1Bs sold to the US Army to establish in 1938 a rotary aircraft school at Dayton, OH. She was then re-engined with a 300 hp Jacob R-915-3 radial engine to become the only XR-3 built. Fortunately this interesting piece of aviation history has survived and is now on display at the Yanks Air Museum.
