The one and only Hudstar prior to is first flight. It was a Hudson fitted with the rear fuselage of a Lodestar. FAA records show N367 was sold in Argentina in 1966 (as LV-ITE) and crashed there in 1977. Several sources claim the Hudstar , registered N367F, crashed at Oshawa airport, Canada, in July 1977. Contemporary newspaper reports of this accident said the aircraft involved was a "twin-engine Beechcraft". Peter Keating photo

Ex USAAF AT-18 Hudson 42-55741. The AT-18 was a gunnery training version of the A-29 Hudson. This was a rare postwar survivor, which was converted in 1952 to a Rausch Super 18 Hudstar using the rear section of a Lodestar c/n 18-2095. Retains the Hudson-style nose. Crashed at Bahia Blanca on 13 January 1977.
